BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Tulsa redshirt-senior Ben Preisner completed the 5,000-meter three peat on Friday, running 14:24.62 for his third-straight title in the event on the first day of the American Indoor Championships at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Also in the event, Scott Beattie and Peter Lynch took second and fourth in 14:25.46 and 14:35.12, respectively, for a total of 23 points in the 5,000 meters.
After day one, the Golden Hurricane men sit in first place overall with 34 team points on day one of the American Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
