TULSA, Okla. – Ben Preisner of The University of Tulsa Track and Field team was named The American Athletic Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week after his performance at the Stanford Invitational on Friday evening.
Preisner (Guelph, Canada) clocked the fastest time this season in The American in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a run of 8:49.44 as he finished runner-up in the event. The sophomore's time marks the eighth-fastest in the event this season in the NCAA while his run was the third-fastest all-time at TU in the event.
Tulsa will return to the track this weekend as they head to Waco, Texas for the Baylor Invitational.
