Pochop’s No-Hitter Sends Tulsa to its Sixth Straight Win

Box Score | Season Stats

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Sophomore Samantha Pochop tossed the 22nd no-hitter in program history to lead Tulsa to a 6-0 win over Nebraska on Sunday morning in the final game of the Rock Chalk Challenge.

Pochop's no-no is the first for the Golden Hurricane (18-8) since Emily Watson blanked ECU in a five-inning game in 2017. It's the first seven-inning no-hitter for TU since Aimee Creger topped Creighton with a then-school-record 17 strikeouts on Feb. 28, 2014.

Josie Muffley paced the offense to back Pochop with a 3-for-4 day at the plate, which included a homer and double, with three RBIs and two runs scored, as Tulsa ran its winning streak to six games.
