TULSA, Okla. - Senior Vera Ploner advanced to the second round of the main draw singles consolation, and will compete with Martina Okalova in the quarterfinals of the main draw doubles bracket on Friday at the Saint Francis Health System ITA Women's All-American Championships. The Tulsa women's tennis team has been competing at the Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park throughout the championships.
Ploner would capture her first win of the season, upsetting No. 21 Oleksandra Korashvil of Oklahoma in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.
She would also team up with Okalova in doubles play.
