Perry Named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Tulsa junior infielder Alexis Perry has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Perry helped Tulsa to a 3-1 week, which included a three-game series sweep of UCF, by hitting .545 (6-of-11) with four runs, two doubles, a grand slam and six RBIs. The Oklahoma City, Okla., native posted a 1.000 slugging percentage and had at least one hit in all four games during the week.

She aided TU comebacks in games one and two of the series against UCF, beginning with Friday's two-RBI double in the bottom of the sixth that gave the Hurricane a lead it would not relinquish to take the series opener.
