NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Tulsa men's tennis sophomore Kody Pearson was crowned the ITA Central Regional Singles Champion on Monday afternoon, as he defeated Stefan Milicevic from Minnesota 6-3, 6-1. The Golden Hurricane were among 16 teams from the Central Region that competed in the championships at the Headington Family Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.
The third seed in the tournament, Pearson secured a spot in the championship match by knocking off Kareem Allaf of Iowa, the 2018 ITA Central Regionals Single Champion and second-seed, in the semifinals on Sunday (7-6(6), 6-2).
