TULSA, Okla. – University of Tulsa women's tennis junior Martina Okalova has been named the American Athletic Conference Women's Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced on Tuesday.
The honor comes as the second of her career, with her first a month ago on April 5. The Slovakia native earned two ranked wins this past weekend, defeating North Texas' No. 79 Tamuna Kutubidze 6-3, 6-2 and SMU's No. 114 Liza Buss 5-7, 6-2, 1-0.
Okalova has now accumulated three ranked wins this season, and the team as a whole sits at a respectable 13-8 overall.
