HOUSTON, Texas – The University of Tulsa women's tennis team defeated American Athletic Conference foe Houston, 5-2, Saturday at the Houston Country Club. The No. 29 Golden Hurricane (18-3 overall) won two of the three doubles matches, before going on to win four out of six singles matches to clinch the match victory.
Tulsa took an immediate 1-0 doubles point lead as Saana Saarteinen and Mahitha Dadireddy (No. 3) earned an automatic victory due to a walkover. Ksenia Laskutova teamed up with Renata Kuricova (No. 1) to defeat Despoina Vogasari and Rocio Martin, 6-4, clinching the doubles point to earn a 1-0 match lead going into singles play.
