TULSA, Okla. –– In the intermittent rain Friday morning, the Tulsa football team practiced for the second time of preseason camp with a 2-hour workout on the turf of H.A. Chapman Stadium.
"I thought today we were much better on the give-and-take of it. We had the defense making big plays, the offense making big plays. The competition between the two groups was really spirited," said Tulsa head coach Philip Montgomery.
"You can tell that they took what we're doing in meetings, the corrections we made and applied it on the field. They're learning as we're going.
