IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Tulsa women's tennis duo of Martha Matoula and Arianna Capogrosso advanced to the doubles quarterfinals on Sunday at the ITA Central Regional in Iowa City, Iowa.
The Tulsa tandem advanced after an 8-6 victory over the Arkansas doubles team of Tatum Rice/Lauren Alter. With the win, TU will face off with Mackenzy Middlebrooks/Ellie Wright of the University of Missouri on Monday with time TBA.
In singles, four Tulsa athletes took the court, as Shura Poppe advanced to the round of 16 with a victory over Claire Refeis of Nebraska, 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-1.
