PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The University of Tulsa's Martina Okalova has been named the Women's Tennis Player of the Month for the month of September, as announced by the American Athletic Conference on Tuesday.
A native of Slovakia, Okalova is ranked 73rd in the 2019-20 Preseason ITA Division I Women's Individual National Rankings. The senior went a perfect 3-0 in singles competition in September, as the Golden Hurricane played at the Mizzou Invite.
She started the invitational with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over SMU's Sarai Monarrez Yesaki. On day two of the tournament, she took to the court against Houston's Ndindi Ndunda.
