For the second straight day, University of Tulsa senior Marc Scott finished among the top-3 in a long distance race at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Gilliam Indoor Track on the campus of Texas A&M University.
Today, Scott took third-place in the 3,000m with a time of 7:57.19, as Oregon's Edward Cheserek finished in first with a time of 7:55.91 and Syracuse's Justyn Knight placed second in a time of 7:56.21.
A day earlier, Scott placed second in the 5,000-meter run, clocking a time of 13:43.83.
Earlier in today, Tulsa's Aleks Rapp, one of only two freshmen participating in the hammer throw, finished in 16th place with a throw of 20.
