Tulsa women's basketball player Kendrian Elliott was named as the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced today by the league office.
Elliott averaged 17.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in 29.0 minutes per game to help the Golden Hurricane earn a 100-92 overtime win over East Carolina, while losing 96-50 decision to No. 1-ranked UConn. Elliott had a personal-best and TU season-high 27 points and earned her third double-double with 13 rebounds against East Carolina. She followed up that performance with eight points and five rebounds against #1 UConn. Elliott had one assist in both contests, a block against ECU and a steal against the Huskies.
