NEW ORLEANS - The Tulsa volleyball team rallied from a two-set deficit on Sunday at Tulane to force the decisive fifth set, but would suffer a heartbreaking loss [23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 23-25, 15-13] on the road.
With the loss, the Golden Hurricane (14-11, 7-5 The American) are once again tied with the Green Wave (17-8, 7-5) for third in the American Athletic Conference West Division standings. Tulsa entered the match holding sole possession of third place, as Tulane lost to Wichita State on Friday night.
The two teams combined for 31 ties and 27 lead changes.
