TULSA, Okla. – The Golden Hurricane (14-13, 8-7 American) was back at the Reynolds Center Thursday night as it took on the UConn Huskies (11-16, 3-9 American). Taylor Horsfall led the TU defense with 27 digs, as Tulsa defeated UConn, 3-1 (25-23, 25-16, 17-25, 25-22).
The Hurricane jumped out to an early 6-3 lead before UConn tied the opening set, 14-14. The Huskies went on to take an 18-16 lead, but the Golden Hurricane battled back and won the first set, 25-23. Taylor Horsfall had a set-high eight digs. Mariah Pardo notched four assists.
