TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa track & field teams begin the 2019 indoor season this weekend, as 27 athletes (11 men, 16 women) get set to compete at the Crimson & Gold Invitational, hosted by Pittsburg State. The invite starts at 12 noon with select field events. The first track event of the day will be the men's 5,000-meter run at 12:30 p.m.
The men's and women's teams feature youthful squads that will be getting their first taste of competition in Kansas. A combined 27 male and 18 female competitors are either freshmen or sophomores.
