Tulsa's Alexis Gaulden was named as the American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week, as announced today by the league office.
Gaulden, a guard from Broken Arrow, Okla., averaged 11.0 points, 2.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game last week in a pair of games for Tulsa. The freshman opened the week with 13 points in last Wednesday's win over Memphis. She scored nine points to go along with two rebounds, two steals and two assists in Saturday's matchup at USF. Gaulden shot 50-percent (7-of-14) over the two games and made 5-of-10 (.500) from 3-point range.
