TULSA, Okla. – Chenise Delce was lights out from the circle and the plate, leading the Golden Hurricane to a 5-1 victory over the No. 22-ranked UCF Knights Thursday night at the Collins Family Softball Complex.
Delce (3-3) drew the start in the circle throwing 6.0 innings, keeping the Knights high-powered offense to just three hits and no runs. The sophomore ended her day striking out 2 batters, while surrendering just 3 walks.
"It's outstanding to get a win on our home field, especially in our first conference series against a top-25 opponent," said head coach Crissy Strimple, "We needed to come out and play hard from the get-go.
