GREENVILLE, N.C. – Chenise Delce led the Hurricane from the circle and the plate, as Tulsa defeated the ECU Pirates 3-0 and 7-0 in a series opening double-header Friday afternoon at the Max R. Joyner Family Stadium.
On the day Delce went 2-4 from the plate driving in two runs while drawing 3 walks. In the circle, the sophomore picked up her 5th win of the season throwing a complete game shut-out in the Hurricane's 3-0 victory. In the shutout, Delce threw a career-high 13 strikeouts while allowing just one hit.
Aubree Seaney's batt was vital for the Hurricane in the opening day wins, as the first baseman went 4-8 on the day, driving in two of TU's 10 runs.
