TAMPA, Fla. –– D'Angelo Brewer became the American Athletic Conference's and Tulsa's all-time leading rusher Thursday night in front of a national television audience, but the Golden Hurricane (2-9, 1-6 AAC) dropped a 27-20 decision to the No.20/23-ranked USF Bulls (9-1, 6-1 AAC) in front of 26,195 fans at Raymond James Stadium.
Brewer came into the game needing 110 yards to surpass USF's Marlon Mack (2014-15) for the American Athletic Conference record and 152 yards to move past Tarrion Adams (2005-08) and become Tulsa's all-time leading rusher. He ended the game with 163 yards and now has 3,662 career rushing yards.
