Chris O’Hare Advances to Semifinals in 1,500 Meters at Rio Olympics

Former University of Tulsa All-American Chris O'Hare, representing Great Britain, advanced to the 1,500-meter semifinals of the Rio Olympics with a time of 3:39.26 in a first round race on Tuesday.

The top qualifying time was Jakub Holusa of the Czech Republic with a time of 3:38.31.

The two semifinal races will take place on Thursday, August 18, beginning at 6:45 pm. O'Hare will race in Semifinal #2 at 6:55 pm. The final is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 20, at 7:00 p.m.

O'Hare attended Tulsa from 2009-13 and was a six-time All-American, while also winning the NCAA title in the mile run at the 2012 Indoor Championships.
