LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Golden Hurricane pitcher and designated player Chenise Delce was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Second Team All-Central Region for utility player/pitcher, it was announced today.
Delce, a sophomore pitcher from Oklahoma City, Okla., finished the season with an 8-6 record, throwing 89 innings during the season. She allowed only 89 earned runs on the season, while striking out 107 batters.
From the plate, Delce recorded a career-high .296 batting average, putting in 29 hits in 98 at bats. She recorded 6 extra base hits, driving in 20 runs on the season.
