TULSA, Okla. – Junior guard Corey Henderson scored 20 points and junior guards Jaleel Wheeler added 17 as "Tulsa Black" earned a 58-54 win over "Tulsa Blue" in the first public scrimmage of the season for Frank Haith's restocked Tulsa basketball roster.
Henderson, a junior college transfer from Blinn Community College, did much of his damage at the free throw line, hitting 10-of-11 charity shots, including four consecutive makes in the final seconds to seal the win.
The Golden Hurricane showed a strong presence on the offensive glass, collecting 20 offensive rebounds between the two teams.
