STATESBORO, Georgia- Four members of the Troy women's tennis team traveled to Georgia Southern to compete in their first tournament of the 2017 fall season.
Senior Jiayuan Xue got things off to a solid start with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 win over University of Tennessee-Chattanooga's Delaney Edwards in the Blue flight. Xue moves on to the quarterfinals where she will face Damira Muminovic of Georgia State tomorrow at 10:15 a.m.
Freshman Maria Casas Blas also competed in the Blue flight, but fell to Caroline Hall of UTC 6-2, 6-2.
