DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Led by its two seniors, the Troy women's golf team is tied for seventh place following Sunday's opening round of the Sun Belt Championship at the LPGA International Golf Course.
ShaeLee Scarberry carded five birdies on the day to shoot even-par and find herself tied for seventh place, while Elisabeth Preus shot 2-over with a birdie on the par-3 12th to end the day tied for 16th place.
Texas State shot 1-under and holds a five-shot lead over Georgia Southern and ULM, which are tied for second at 4-over.
