With Top 25 ranking, Troy Trojans now the 'hunted'

TROY — Their classmates congratulated them, but the Troy Trojans were wary of celebrating their piece of school history too much.

Sure, they may be in the national rankings for the first time in their Division I-A history, but now the Trojans have to try to stay there.

“That’s a big accomplishment, but we can’t let that get into our heads because one loss and you’re out of it,” defensive lineman Jamal Stadom said. “If you want to stay in it, you have to keep winning.”

Stadom admitted the campus was giddy over the Trojans making the Top 25 in the latest Associated Press poll.
