TROY — Troy linebacker William Lloyd, in the face of withering criticism, stood fast to his claim of innocence.
The Trojans are faced with an empty campus due to Thanksgiving break before their game Saturday at Texas State and, away from practice, are having team-only functions to foster camaraderie.
Sunday’s was a mixture of trivia and charades — that ended in controversy when the linebackers pulled out victory with a final-question surprise.
Others, of course, said they cheated.
“Absolutely not,” Lloyd said.
The swiftness with which Lloyd and fellow senior Justin Lucas answered the final question had some Trojans calling foul.
