TROY, Ala - Troy University outfielder Shane Lewis has been named a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy; the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced Friday morning.
The Trojan slugger has had a historic season thus far for Troy. Lewis sits at 26 home runs this season, ranking second most nationally and leading the Sun Belt Conference. He needs only one home run to become the leader for most home runs in a single season in Troy baseball history, and his 26 home runs are the most by a Sun Belt player since 2009.
