TROY – In baseball terms, the Troy football offense and defense have split the first two of a three-game series this week, and both look to win the series in Friday’s scrimmage.
Both Trojans head coach Neal Brown and defensive coordinator Vic Koenning noted the offense won this week’s first practice on Monday. On Wednesday, things were completely different as the defense dominated in most aspects – including on the line of scrimmage.
“It’s about a mentality. Our defensive kids had a mentality, and our offense kids didn’t respond,” Brown said after Wednesday. “I didn’t like how the offense didn’t compete today.
