Even though his Trojans are riding the momentum of a four-game winning streak, this week’s bye comes at a great time, Troy head coach Neal Brown said Monday.
Brown said the off week will give the Trojans (8-2 overall, 5-1 Sun Belt Conference) time to accomplish a few things, mainly get some rest ahead of the final two games of the regular season.
“I like the timing of this. We’ve got two critical conference games to finish up with our goal of a conference championship still out there,” the coach said while speaking on the Sun Belt’s weekly media teleconference.
