Troy return specialist Marcus Jones was named Monday as the Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
Jones returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown in the Trojans' 32-25 victory over Arkansas State on Saturday, which secured a share of the Sun Belt championship. The freshman from Enterprise, who also plays defensive back, also returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown in the game.
Jones has three return touchdowns this season, which leads the country. He ranks third nationally in kickoff return average at 32.88 yards per attempt.
New Mexico State swept the other two Sun Belt weekly awards after a 22-17 win over South Alabama.
