Troy UniversityTROY – Troy’s Kayla Robinson was named Sun Belt Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the third consecutive week, the league announced on Monday, becoming the first player in the 36-year history of the league to win the award three straight weeks.
Robinson was key in the Trojans’ 76-70 overtime win on Saturday over Little Rock, a team that entered the contest 12-0 in Sun Belt play. Robinson scored eight of Troy’s 12 points in the extra period and finished the game with a game-high 18 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists.
