When Brandon Silvers played at Gulf Shores High School, espn.com deemed him "the most under-the-radar quarterback prospect in this class." Silvers agrees with that assessment, and after what he's done as Troy's QB, perhaps he's shown some collegiate coaches that they should have tried harder to get him.
"Gulf Shores isn't really a sports destination," Silvers said. "We did all right, but we didn't do too good. I still got recruited by a lot of schools, but I just felt like I was under the radar with everybody, and I've just had that chip on my shoulder the whole time I've played.
