Troy women's basketball loses in Sun Belt Championship game to UT Arlington

Troy women’s basketball fell to UT Arlington 76-61 in the Sun Belt Tournament championship game in Pensacola, Fla., on Monday.

UT Arlington raced out to an early lead that it never surrendered. Troy tried to make a second-half run but came up short.

The Trojans (24-8) were led by Felmas Koranga with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Tina Stephens with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

The Mavericks (20-7) were led by Sun Belt player of the year Starr Jacobs with 28 points and 11 rebounds.

UT Arlington won its first Sun Belt Tournament championship in its final season in the conference.
