TROY – It did not surprise Troy head coach Neal Brown that redshirt freshman wide receiver Luke Whittemore made the first touchdown catch of Saturday’s T-Day scrimmage.
The Gainesville, Florida, product has displayed a knack for being a clutch performer in his year-plus under the southern Alabama sun.
“This isn’t the first time he’s made a bunch of plays for us in a scrimmage situation,” Brown said after T-Day concluded. “Every time we did it in his redshirt year, he made plays. Did it every time this spring and continued it today.”
When given the chance, it appears Whittemore is poised to make plays.
