TROY, Alabama - The Troy volleyball team opens the 2016 regular season in Johnson City, Tenn., by participating in the DoubleTree Hotel Buccaneer Challenge. The Trojans' first game is scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m., against USC Upstate.
The Trojans will continue tournament play with two games on Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m., when they take on Austin Peay, before battling host ETSU at noon.
The Trojans have a few key pieces returning in seniors Symone Shaw, Leah Causey and Sara Landis along with junior setter Reina Terry. Shaw recorded 197 kills last season and 51 total blocks.
