TROY, Alabama – Troy hits the highway for the first time in the 2017-18 campaign, albeit it's not a lengthy journey. The Trojans travel to face off against Alabama State on Thursday in the Dunn-Oliver Acadome at 7 p.m.
Troy (1-0) enters the contest after winning its season opener 89-62 against Stillman. Six Trojans scored in double figures including sophomore Kayla Robinson, who paced the squad with 17 points. Freshmen Janiah Sandifer (14) and Jasmine Sanders (10) joined junior Sky'Lynn Holmes in double-digits in their Trojan debuts.
Alabama State (1-1) fell to defending national champions South Carolina to start the year, but rebounded for an 81-61 victory over Savannah State on Monday.
