Troy upsets No. 25 LSU, 24-21

Nine years after losing a 28-point second-half lead in Baton Rouge, Troy finished the job Saturday night against LSU, earning a 24-21 over the 25th-ranked Tigers at Tiger Stadium.

Troy seized a 10-0 halftime lead, built it to 17-0 and to 24-7 before holding off a late Tiger rally try. LSU scored with 1:59 left and forced a Trojan punt after Troy’s John Johnson recovered an onsides kick.

Starting at its own 9 with 18 seconds left, LSU completed a 25-yard pass to the 36, but Blace Brown intercepted a pass on the ensuing play to finish off Troy’s win.
