TROY – Georgia Southern may be winless, may be led by an interim coach and may be outmanned when the Eagles face the Troy Trojans today.
“Honestly, they’ve had our number,” Troy head coach Neal Brown noted this week. “They beat us handily in 2015 (45-10) and then last year (28-24) took the conference championship away from us. We had a chance to win with the ball first-and-goal from the 9-yard line and we didn’t get it done.”
The Eagles (0-6, 0-2 Sun Belt) are having a historically bad season. They fired head coach Tyson Summers on Sunday and named Chad Lunsford the interim coach.
