TROY — The joy poured out, enough to whet Jabir Daughtry-Frye’s appetite for more to come, and that was before his coach even piped in with more food for thought.

The Troy running back, after a three-game injury-induced hiatus, returned to play a big part in the Trojans’ 37-13 win last week over South Alabama.

And coach Chip Lindsey vowed that future opponents, starting with Saturday’s game at Georgia State, would receive a combo meal.

Yes, they’ll have Frye with that.

“He’s going to play a big part in this offense going forward,” Lindsey said last week.
