The two have been common foes recently, competing a two-for-one deal that had the Trojans travel to Starkville in 2013 and 2015 and Mississippi State crossing state lines in 2012. The 2012 game set an attendance record at Troy’s Veterans Memorial Stadium at 29,013.
The Trojans also traveled to the Bulldogs in 2001 and 2002, winning the 2001 game 21-9 in Troy’s first year on the FBS level.
