The last time many people saw the Troy men’s basketball team play, they were battling Duke in the NCAA Tournament in March.
To reach that level again will require a monumental effort this season, although that is more indicative of how tough the Trojans’ schedule is than any decrease in ability.
“I read this tweet. Someone had done an analysis of all the Sun Belt schedules, and we overscheduled the second-highest in the league,” fifth-year head coach Phil Cunningham said. “It made the comment we may have bit off too much than we were ready for. It’s kind of high-risk, high-reward.
