Troy Trojans bomb away on Coastal Carolina

TROY – The Troy Trojans continued momentum from a successful road trip Saturday at Trojan Arena and turned to outside shooting to do it.

The Trojans shot 56.3 percent in the first half from behind the arc and kept the onslaught up until the game was out of reach in an 87-78 victory over the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. Troy led 81-57 with 4:22 left in the game before substituting massively down the stretch, which allowed the Chanticleers to close the game on a 19-6 run.

Still, the Trojans earned their first three-game conference winning streak since beating South Alabama, Denver and Middle Tennessee State late in the 2010-11 season.
