TROY — Still sore after winning the Sun Belt Conference championship Saturday and a six-hour bus ride home, the Troy Trojans started thinking about their bowl Sunday.
Hello, New Orleans.
The Trojans will face North Texas on Dec. 16 in the New Orleans Bowl at the Superdome.
“Me being a senior, I think everything is falling into place for a Cinderella moment,” defensive lineman Jamal Stadom said. “It’s like a fairy tale.”
Stadom, his teammates and his coaches remained giddy Sunday afternoon in the afterglow of a 32-25 title-clinching win at Arkansas State on Saturday and a New Orleans Bowl invitation.
