TROY – Maybe it was expected given the nature of spring games, the litany of injuries and a quarterback battle, but Troy’s T-Day scrimmage provided a mixed bag of results.
Trojan quarterbacks Kaleb Barker and Sawyer Smith combined for three touchdowns and three interceptions as the Silver (defense) officially won the day. Troy head coach Neal Brown noted both quarterbacks had up-and-down days, but that has not shaken his confidence for the 2018 season.
“I thought both quarterbacks had some high points and some low points. It’s really evident that we have a lot of work to do between now and when Boise comes here,” Brown said.
