TROY, Alabama – Troy and Tennessee Tech went back and forth in the series finale, but the Trojans were finally able to come away with a hard-fought 13-12 victory to clinch the series on Championship Sunday at Riddle-Pace Field.
Troy (7-5) saw itself down 10-6 with two outs in the bottom of the seventh before rallying for six runs in the frame.
Joey Denison started the two-out rally with an RBI double down the right field line – the run capped off Denison's 10-RBI series and was his third in the game. The senior finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored in the game to lead the Trojan bats.
