Troy, Ala. – Troy bested Georgia State twice Friday in Trojan to begin the season 2-0 for the second straight year. The Trojans downed the Panthers, 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-14) in the first match of the day and took the night cap, 3-1 (25-20, 24-26, 25-20, 25-23).
Cheyenne Hayes led all scorers in the first match of the day with 15 kills while Julia Brooks tied her career high of 17 kills on .600 hitting in game two of the day. Amara Anderson recorded one double-double and averaged 13.
