TROY, Ala. – Powered by a one-hitter from sophomore Libby Baker, Troy downed Georgia State, 4-2, to pick up its fourth consecutive series win Saturday at the Troy Softball Complex.
With the series win, the Trojans (22-9, 8-3 Sun Belt) have won the first four conference series for the first time since 2008.
Georgia State (12-19, 3-5 Sun Belt) plated a run in the top of the opening frame off a Troy fielding error. However, Troy's offense retaliated in the bottom half of the first with a pair of runs to claim an early lead.
