TROY, Ala. – The No. 4 seed Troy Trojans is primed for a Wednesday afternoon showdown with the No. 5 seed UT Arlington Mavericks in the first game of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament at Jaguar Field.
Troy (29-19, 15-12 Sun Belt) will square off against UTA (22-25, 12-15 Sun Belt) for the fourth time this season. The Trojans won the three-game series, 2-1, at the Troy Softball Complex earlier this season.
All-Sun Belt First Team selection Leanna Johnson leads the Troy pitching staff with a 2.11 ERA and 234 strikeouts over 186.
