TROY, Ala. – Troy dropped the final contest of the regular season to South Alabama, 9-0, Saturday at the Troy Softball Complex.
Prior to the start of the game, the Trojans (29-19, 15-12 Sun Belt) honored seniors , , , , and . All six seniors saw action in today's contest with five of them earning the start.
Despite the loss, Troy earned its third straight series win over the Jaguars (24-19, 16-5 Sun Belt) this weekend.
After a quiet two frames, a three-run home run off the bat of Victoria Ortiz gave South Alabama the lead once and for all.
